OVERVIEW--SW horizontal self-priming pump
The SW series self-priming sewage centrifugal pump features a compact structure, ease of operation, smooth performance, simple maintenance, high efficiency, long service life, and strong self-priming capability. It is widely used in situations where the vertical height of the incoming water level is lower than the pump inlet, preventing the liquid from flowing into the pump chamber by gravity. Before operation, it is necessary to ensure that a specific volume of priming liquid is stored in the pump body.
For different user needs, Jiemar Fluid has developed several models:
- SX Clean Water Self-Priming Pump: Designed for clean water-like media.
- SW Non-Clogging Sewage Self-Priming Pump: Suitable for sewage containing particulate matter.
Additionally, based on the chemical properties of the medium, the following specialized models are available:
- SXP and SWP Corrosion-Resistant Self-Priming Pumps
- SXB and SWB Explosion-Proof Self-Priming Pumps
- SXL and SWL Directly Coupled Self-Priming Pumps

FEATURES
- Strong Self-Priming Ability: Without a bottom valve, the pump can achieve a vertical suction height of up to 5 meters. With a bottom valve installed, the self-priming height can reach approximately 7.2 meters.
- Long Service Life: The self-priming centrifugal pump features a compact structure, ease of operation, smooth performance, easy maintenance, high efficiency, and a long service life, with notable self-priming capabilities.
- No Need for Bottom Valve: Prior to operation, ensure that a specific volume of priming liquid is stored in the pump body. The pipeline does not need to be equipped with a bottom valve.
- Good Flow Performance: The SW series uses a unique impeller design that allows it to pump liquids containing large particles and long fiber impurities.
- Versatility: Suitable for environments where submersible pumps cannot be installed.
- High Efficiency and Energy Savings: Equipped with a high-efficiency motor, this pump offers better performance and lower energy consumption.
Pre-Startup Preparation and Operation
- Check for Loose Fasteners: Inspect the pump base, coupling, bearing housing, and other connection points for any loose fasteners. Tighten any loose components as necessary.
- Check for Obstructions or Noise: Manually rotate the coupling to ensure there is no binding or unusual noise.
- Add Priming Liquid: Open the water filling valve on the top of the pump and add enough liquid to ensure that the pump chamber is at least two-thirds full. Close the valve. This priming step will not be needed for subsequent startups.
- Power On and Test Rotation: Connect the power supply and perform a test run. From the motor end, ensure the pump rotates in the clockwise direction (reverse rotation is strictly prohibited).
